Education and Professional Development
Ambulance Tasmania's Education and Professional Development unit is responsible for:
- liaison with the University of Tasmania and other tertiary institutions who provide degree-level paramedic education
- transition-to-practice training and assessment for newly appointed paramedics
- ongoing training and professional development for salaried staff, including paramedics and communications officers
- development of curriculum and training materials for volunteer officers
- maintaining Ambulance Tasmania's status as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
